Glencore IPO

On 4 continents, in 19 cities, over 15 days, helping Glencore raise US$10 billion in a landmark IPO

Glencore International, one of the world’s leading integrated producers and marketers of commodities, raised US$10 billion through the sale of 1.14 billion shares in one of the world’s largest IPOs in May 2011.

The company listed on both the London and Hong Kong stock exchanges and became the first company ever to enter the FTSE100 on its trading debut, with a valuation of approximately US$60bn.

Working with the company and joint global co-ordinators, we arranged all elements of the roadshow. The teams visited 113 investor offices, produced 26 group presentations and a press conference and we tied together the travel and logistics across 4 continents, with three teams, in as many weeks.

Our dedicated team of project and logistics managers, travel and roadshow desk co-ordinators and production and creative directors worked seamlessly to deliver world-class logistics, ensuring Glencore’s management and the global co-ordinators could focus purely on the transaction.
