If you’ve been to YouTube in the last year - and who hasn’t? - You would have noticed that many of the videos now have pre-roll adverts on them. YouTube call them TrueView Ads, and they’re working out very well for the advertising industry.

Set against a backdrop of the eurozone crisis and a sluggish, knife-edge recovery in the United States, much media attention has been focused on the slow shift in the world’s centre of gravity towards the highly populated, emerging economic powerhouse that is China. 

The year of the Dragon just arrived. In London, the Chinese New Year celebration takes place in Trafalgar Square on Sunday. I attended last year and the most interesting thing I felt was that almost half of people there were actually not Chinese.
